Over 65's through to next round of WFA National Cup (scorer Ray Beech)

Old Corinthians beat local rivals Hartshil 1 - 0 today at Dales Lane to progress to the next round of the Nationl Cup. OC's started well with a much changed side and Keith Howard set up Keith Randall but his effort was well wide. We conyinued to play well and move the ball well but Hartshill always looked dangerous but Clyde Redfern was in commanding form between the sticks. We created several first half chances with some nice football.but went in 0-0 at half time.

The second half followed the same pattern as the first with us playing good footbll and creating several openings, eventually a space was created and Ray Beech (pictured) confidently converted the chance to make it 1-0. From then on we continued to keep possession and deny Hartshill any opportunities despite a lte blue card.
