Introduction to Walking Football

What is Walking Football?

Walking football is a slower-paced non-contact version of the beautiful game, designed to help you stay active without the high-impact risks of traditional football. Perfect for those aged 50 and over, it’s all about teamwork, strategy, some football skill, and socialising.

See the link below to the WFA guide to walking football. The WFA are one of the leading organised bodies for walking football in the UK.

What our players say

“Having had two knee replacement operations at the age of 60, I thought my footballing days had gone forever. However, having been invited to attend my first walking football game approximately 3 years ago, it has given me, not only a new lease of life back on the football field, but also the return of humour and banter that can only be experienced in the dressing room. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who thinks that their footballing days are behind them to get involved with the walking football community.” – Keith, aged 69.
