Golds lose final game to the Champion

Old Corinthians Golds took on MSA Burntwood in their last game of the season against the champions elect. In the first half Golds played well and kept MSA at bay passing the ball around really well. Both Rob Ratcliffe and Alan Hewitt had their chances hitting the post and drawing good saves from their keeper. However MSA scored shortly before the break through their centre forward. In the second half we carried on playing well and Rob hit the post again and had a one on one with the keeper which was saved. Defensive errors the continued to blight the team as it has all season as MSA added another three goals. Overall Golds played well and the scoreline didn't reflect the the play and chances, it wasn't our day or our season. A special mention for Chris Rowland who turned out for us and put in a fine display in goal despite the scoreline.
