In the finals games of the season the Clarets got a very creditable draw against Coventry and District despite having a man sent off in the second half. Despite this the Clarets hit the woodwork twice and looked the side most likely to go on and win the game.
In the other game the Golds restricted league leaders to one goal in the first half and were clearly frustrating their opponents and had chances themselves. In the second period Burntwood scored two goals in five minutes both of which resulted from Paul Mathews pushing the ball on to the post that then rebounding off his back in to the net. Rob Ratcliffe left foot screamer was deserved more than just a consolation for the Golds who ran out 4-1 losers
