Clarets defeated by Coleshill
0 - 2

The Clarets performance was a bit of a surprise – a little below par and subdued and quiet.
Coleshill bossed the first half with Clarets unable to be as creative as in recent games. Nevertheless, despite Coleshill creating a few chances it was goalless at half-time. I should say that Tim Reynolds had one great shot that just curled away – had it gone it it would’ve been a goal of the season contender. However early in the second half a mistake allowed Coleshill to get in behind, put a cross across the box and our old mate Greg Gibbs finished smartly at the far post. Shortly afterwards Coleshill hit the bar but that seemed to be the point at which the malaise lifted and Clarets got more control, pushed forward and created several shooting opportunities, unfortunately most of them were off target. The second goal I felt the ref would’ve seen the 20 yard run onto the ball but him blowing the whistle as soon as the ball went into the net was to signal end of the game rather than disallow it. ☹
