65's beaten by the odd goal in thriller

The over 65's were beaten by the odd goal in seven in a thrilling encounter with Boldmere St Michaels. We started well knocking the ball around well and creating shooting chances but the same could be said of Boldmere. However we took the lead through a well directed shot from Ray Beech from an assist from Lee Perrow. Boldmere struck back with two quick as we went in to the break 2-1 down.

The second half started badly and we were slow out of the blocks as Boldmere went in to a 3-1 lead. However we showed our resilience and struck back through a Mike Sadler penalty when one of their defenders entered the box. Shortly after this a well struck shot from Keith Randall bought us back to 3-3, once again assisted by Lee Perrow. With just minutes on the clock we were caught sleeping again when a quickly taken free kick that we all thought should have been a goal kick ended up in the back of our net.
